How to set up Single Sign-On (SSO) for Android mobile devices

Single Sign-On (SSO) through the Sesame app requires certain settings on Android mobile devices to be effective. It is important to review these settings, as updates to the Android operating system as well as applications updates and proprietary firmwares of the different brands, can modify these and cause undesired redirects to web portals and/or unsatisfactory logins through the Sesame app.

Below you can find examples of these settings to check in the configuration of Samsung Galaxy and Xiaomi MIUI devices.

Samsung Galaxy

STEP 1

  • Go to phone Settings.
  • Look for Applications or System Applications.
  • Look for "Sesame Mobile" app.
  • Set as default.
  • Open allowed links (Active).
  • Allowed web addresses (Active).
  • Retry >> Sesame Mobile should open.

STEP 2

  • Go to phone Settings.
  • Look for Applications or System Applications.
  • Look for Default applications.
  • Check that everything is correct there, with apps assigned for each task.
  • Now open Open links.
  • Look for the specific app that should execute the task we want. For example, open music files. If it's not there, install it. If it's there but has not been assigned, assign it.

STEP 3

  • Check that the default browser on the device (default applications) is Chrome.

Xiaomi | MIUI
