What are categorised hours?

Categorised hours are specific segments of the workday that the administrator assigns special characteristics to, in order to keep better control of the work performed during that period. The goal is to accurately track this time because, in many cases, these hours are compensated at a higher rate (for example, night hours).

 

How can I create categorised hours?

Go to: Configuration >> Schedules >> Categorised hours. 

Click on "Add" and follow these steps:

  • Add a name.
  • Select the start and end dates.
  • Choose the days on which it will be active (you can select as many as needed).
  • Add the time range.
  • Enable the night shift option (if applicable).

Then, click on "Next" and select the employees who will use these categorised hours. A summary will appear showing the configured hours and the assigned employees, so you can double-check everything is correct.

All set? Click on "Create and assign"!
