How does the automatic switch between time periods work in a clock in/out?

The switch between the unpaid and paid periods, or vice versa, happens automatically when the employee reaches the configured limit in the record type.

What happens exactly?

  1. The employee clocks in with the configured type.
  2. While the set limit has not been reached, time is counted according to the first period, for example, as unpaid.
  3. Once the limit is reached, the system automatically applies the second period, for example, paid, without the employee needing to take any action.

This also applies when the configuration is reversed: first paid, and once the limit is reached, unpaid.
