How can I clock in/out using Face ID?
To clock in or out using Face ID, go to the tablet set up as the fixed clock in/out point at your workplace.
If the screen is in standby mode, activate it. You can do this in two ways:
- Tap the screen once.
- Clap your hands (sound must be enabled).
Once the screen is active, locate the Face ID section on the tablet and tap Start. Stand in front of the device and look directly at the camera.
Recognition time varies depending on the configured mode:
- Immediate mode (Android only): you’ll be detected and clocked in/out instantly.
- Normal mode: wait approximately 3 seconds to be detected.
Sesame Wall will recognize your face and record your clock-in or clock-out. If your admin has configured multiple clock in/out types, you’ll be able to choose the one you want before continuing.
During recognition:
- Make sure the name shown on the screen is yours. The system may make a mistake and display another employee’s name, so it’s important to check carefully before continuing. If the name shown is not correct, tap Cancel and try again.
- Avoid sudden movements.
- Avoid having more than one person in front of the camera at the same time.
- If your admin hasn’t uploaded a facial recognition photo for you, you’ll be able to create one at that moment.
