Can I clock in/out without an internet connection using Face ID?
Yes. If the tablet loses its internet connection, you can still log your working hours using Face ID. Clock ins/outs are saved on the tablet and sent automatically to Sesame once the connection is restored.
Requirements for offline use
Employees' faces must have been downloaded previously while the tablet had an internet connection. Offline recognition is carried out using those faces already saved on the tablet.
If the tablet is offline and has never downloaded the faces, Face ID will not be available until the internet connection is restored.
What is saved while there is no connection?
All clock-in and clock-out records are saved, along with clock-in types, breaks, and the verification photo for each clock in/out, that is, the facial recognition capture.
All of this information is synced with the server once the connection is restored, preserving the exact time at which each clock in/out was made.
What cannot be done offline?
A new face cannot be registered. Enrolling a facial recognition photo requires an internet connection, as the photo must be uploaded to the server.
Without a connection, it is not possible to register new faces; only working hours can be logged using the faces previously enrolled.
