Can my employees sign documents from the mobile app?
Yes, your employees can now sign documents from the Sesame HR app on their phone. Until now, signing was only possible from the panel; with this update, they can sign their employment documents directly from their phone, with full legal validity.
What type of signature can be used from the mobile app?
Signing from the app is compatible with both signature types available in Sesame HR:
- Simple signature: for employment documents that do not require an enhanced level of security.
- Advanced/Digital signature: for documents that require stronger identity verification from the signatory.
In both cases, the document is properly signed and legally valid.
How does signing work from the app?
Step 1: request the signature from the panel
As an administrator, go to the Document manager and request signatures from your employees as you normally would.
Step 2: the employee receives the notification
Your employees receive a push notification on their phone, taking them directly to the Digital signature tool. They can also access it manually from the app menu: Apps >> Employee >> Digital signature.
Step 3: the employee signs in from the app
Inside Digital signature, they will find documents organised into two tabs:
- Pending: documents awaiting signature.
- Signed: documents already completed.
To sign, simply tap the pen icon on the pending document and follow the flow. The document is signed, and the process is complete.
Important notes

Signing only, no form filling. For now, the mobile app only supports signing documents. If employees need to fill in information in a document, they must continue to do so from the panel.

Same legal validity. A signature completed from the app carries the same legal validity as one signed from the panel, for both Simple and Advanced signatures.
- Quick access path. Employees can find the tool at any time via Apps >> (Employee) >> Digital signature.
