How is my overtime balance calculated?

The calculation depends on the policy and rules configured by your company:

  • Extra or missing hours. When you work more or less time than your schedule or contract sets, that difference generates a positive or negative balance.

  • Special values. Working at night, on public holidays, or doing specific tasks (such as travel) may give those hours a multiplied value or make them count towards separate balances.

  • Balance display. If your company manages positive and negative overtime separately, you'll see two independent figures (the surplus and the shortfall) instead of a single net number.

If you want to know exactly how your hours are calculated, check with your administrator or HR department.
