What is the Group ID?

Unlike workplaces and departments, groups can share the same name. To differentiate them correctly and assign them without errors, it’s necessary to create a Group ID. The Group ID is a unique identifier for each group or subgroup that allows you to distinguish them and assign them accurately.

There are two ways to create a Group ID:

1. When creating a new group

  1. Go to: Configuration >> Groups.
  2. Click the Create button, and a modal will open where you can add the Group ID.
  3. Once entered, click Save, and that’s it!

2. If the group already exists

  1. Go to: Configuration >> Groups >> Click the three dots next to the group >> Configure.
  2. A modal will open where you can add the Group ID.
  3. To save the changes correctly, click Save.

Keep in mind: each group and subgroup must have a unique ID. If you try to use an ID that already exists, the system will not allow you to save it.
