Why does remote working no longer require a QR scan to clock in?
The QR code is a mechanism for verifying that an employee is physically present at the workplace. That's why, when a clock in/out type is configured as remote, the app no longer asks you to scan it: if you're clocking in/out from home, there's no point in validating your presence at the office.
On-site clock ins/outs still require the QR code if your company has it enabled; no changes there.
