Can I assign multiple people to validate time off and holiday requests in sequence?

Yes! From each employee’s profile, you can set up the people responsible for validating their time off and holiday requests.

To do this, go to the employee’s Employment data and, in the Line managers section, add the person or people in charge of approving these requests.

You can set up to three validation levels:

  1. A request will only move to the second level after it’s been approved at the first.
  2. If there’s a third level, the same process will apply.
  3. You can also leave levels empty and work with just a single validator, it’s up to you!

Once you’ve defined the validators, it’s important to configure how they interact with each other:

  • Go to Configuration >> Automations >> User accesses.
  • Enable the option "Enable the validation of time off requests by validation order".

This will ensure that the configuration applies only to users with double validation enabled for time off requests.

Finally, we recommend checking that the flow works correctly, meaning each request should automatically move on to the next validation level once approved.
