How do I add shift patterns?

Shift patterns are combinations of shifts that repeat in the same way over time. In short, they help you configure work timetables more quickly and efficiently.

Go to: Shifts → Configuration → Patterns → Create pattern.

Available pattern types

You can choose between two types of patterns:

  1. Weekly patterns: specify which days of the week are workdays and which are days off.
  2. Free patterns: these are sequences of daily shifts that don’t follow a weekday structure, just alternating between workdays and days off.

How to create a pattern

  1. Enter a name for the pattern.
  2. Assign the appropriate shift for each day.
  3. You can configure up to 30 weeks (for weekly patterns) or 30 days (for free patterns).
  4. Sesame will automatically calculate the total number of worked hours for the entire pattern to help you visualize workload distribution.

Where to view created patterns

Once you've created a pattern, you'll see a list displaying:

  • The name of each pattern.
  • The employees assigned to each pattern.
  • A search bar to easily find the pattern you need.
