How do I assign employees to a timetable?

The process for assigning employees to a timetable varies depending on how timetable creation is configured in your account. Here's how assignment works in each case:
 

Automatic timetable creation

If you have automatic timetable creation enabled (linked to workplaces and groups), you need to complete two steps:

  1. First, add the employee to the relevant workplace. Go to Shifts >> Configuration >> Workplaces, find the "Employees" column, and click the avatar next to the quick actions button.
  2. Then, assign the employee to the timetable via Add employees, following the steps in the modal. Note that only employees already associated with that workplace will appear here.
     

The employee must be associated with a workplace before they can be added to a timetable.

 

 

Manual timetable creation

If you have manual timetable creation enabled, the process is more straightforward; there are no workplace or group restrictions. From the "Shifts" main screen, find the timetable, click the avatar in the "Employees" column, select the people you want to add, and confirm.
