What is the difference between "validating" overtime and "adjusting" a balance? Can any manager do it?

They are two different actions designed for different levels of responsibility:

  • Validate: consists of approving compensation requests or extra clock ins/outs submitted by the workforce. This option is usually granted to managers for the day-to-day management of their teams.

  • Adjust: a direct, individual correction to the accumulated balance to resolve exceptions not covered by automatic rules. Due to its sensitivity, it is usually reserved for Owner, Administrator, or HR profiles.
