Discover Compensation

Compensation is the tool that helps you manage your team's time (positive or negative). With it, you can turn your collective agreement into an automated policy: you define the rules and Sesame calculates, validates, compensates, and notifies people on your behalf.

To achieve this, the tool relies on four key components:

  • Configuration >> Time management >> Compensation
Create your own overtime policies — that is, the set of rules that define how extra hours are calculated and how they are compensated, whether in time off, pay, or both.

  • Configuration >> Time management >> Multiplier rules
Use these to define the value of time worked in specific time slots, such as night hours or public holidays.

  • Configuration >> Time management >> Categorization rules
Use these to classify the type of time worked based on how it was clocked in.

  • Configuration >> Time management >> Time margins
Configure tolerance and overtime margins to define from when an hour counts as extra.

Each component is configured separately, but they all work together in Time management >> Compensation.

The result is a system designed to scale with you, whether you have a single policy for the entire company or manage several for different teams, workplaces, or collective agreements.
