Overtime balance glossary

  • Working time: the time the employee has recorded while carrying out their work.

  • Theoretical time: the time the employee is required to complete according to their configured schedule.

  • Overtime balance: the difference between working time and theoretical time. It also reflects the sum of any multiplier extra time.

  • Updated overtime balance: the difference between working time and theoretical time.

  • Count start: the time margin that must pass from the end of the theoretical working day before any extra time worked by an employee begins to be counted.

  • Multiplier extra time: the extra time added to the overtime balance due to a configured rule. Bear in mind that a rule assigns greater value to the time period you choose. Therefore, if extra working time is generated during that chosen period, which carries more value, more time will be added to your balance, depending on the rule you have configured.

  • Time compensated as paid: the time that has been remunerated through payroll to compensate for extra time worked beyond the theoretical hours.

  • Time compensated as rest: the time the employee has already taken as rest to compensate for extra time worked beyond the theoretical hours.

  • Overtime balance assigned time: the time that has been assigned to a specific day to be compensated as an overtime balance absence. It appears as a positive figure, as an addition, because that time counts as worked time, even though a leave of absence was actually taken.
