What is the scoring system in a survey and how does it work?
In surveys, you can use the scoring system to measure your workforce's performance and competencies. You'll have an overall result that you can use to set strategic and growth objectives.
It's very straightforward to use: in the Questionnaire configuration, enable the "Add scoring" toggle. As you add answer options, you'll be able to assign a score with a value between -100 and 100.
When the toggle is enabled, the system automatically applies a series of changes to the questionnaire:
- Questions that can be scored (single choice, multiple choice, range, star rating, and satisfaction) become mandatory.
- The mandatory toggle for those questions is locked: it cannot be unchecked while scoring is active.
- Any new scorable question you add to the questionnaire is created as mandatory by default, with the toggle locked.
- Free-text and organisational chart questions are not affected: you can continue managing their mandatory status freely.
Once the survey is complete, you'll be able to see the score achieved by your employees and compare it against the maximum possible score.

Once you enable scoring, you can also enable weighting by question group.
