Can both Sesame employees and external users access the same biometric device?

Yes. A single biometric device can allow access for both employees registered in Sesame and external personnel.

This works as follows:

  • Employees registered in Sesame:
When you create an employee in Sesame, their information is automatically synchronized with Biostar. This creates a user in both platforms and allows them to clock in/out using the biometric device.

  • External users (not registered in Sesame):
If a user is created directly in Biostar or from the biometric device itself, that user will not be synchronized with Sesame. However, they will still be able to use the biometric device to access or clock in/out.

Important:
These external clock ins/outs will not appear in Sesame and will not be linked to its time-tracking system. This option is recommended only for external staff or visitors.
