How can I configure the overtime balance start count?

In Sesame, you can define how you want minutes clocked in/out outside of employees’ regular schedule to be recorded in the overtime balance. To do so, follow this path: Configuration >> Schedules >> Overtime balance >> Overtime start configuration.

Configuration options:

  • Include margin: minutes clocked in/out before or after their schedule will be added to the overtime balance and counted as extra hours.
  • Exclude margin: minutes clocked in/out outside their schedule will not be added to the overtime balance, even if employees clock in/out their entry or exit.

This way, you can decide whether those clock ins/outs outside of scheduled hours should be considered worked time (and added) or simply ignored in the overtime balance calculation.
