How does assigning Evaluators work?

Evaluators are the people who answer the questions for each of the Evaluated. In Sesame, we offer you two options to assign evaluators: automatically or manually, so you can choose the one that best suits your needs.

Manual assignment allows you to select evaluators one by one. It is available for these types of evaluators:

  • Colleagues
  • Direct reports
  • Line managers
  • Other employees.

Remember that the evaluators you choose will evaluate all the individuals you have selected as "evaluated".

⚠️ If the evaluation is already active, you can add or remove evaluators without needing to pause the process.

  • When adding someone, the questionnaire is generated instantly, and the evaluator will receive a notification.

  • Removing someone as an evaluator for a specific evaluated employee does not affect their questionnaires with any other evaluated employees.

Want to save time? Choose automatic assignment and let Sesame assign evaluators based on your company's organizational chart. This option is available for:

  • Self-assessment
  • Colleagues
  • Direct reports
  • Line managers.

For this option to work, make sure the "Organizational Chart" tool is installed and configured. If you need help, check this entry.

What does each type of evaluator assess?

  • Self-assessment: employees evaluate themselves. Use this to encourage reflection on self-development.
  • Colleagues: colleagues evaluate others reporting to the same line manager. Use this to gain insights into teamwork and collaboration.
  • Team in charge: the team evaluates its line manager. Use this to gather the team's perspective on their line manager(s).
  • Direct reports: line managers evaluate their teams. Use this when you want a comprehensive view of the team's development.
  • Other employees: any employee can evaluate. Use this to get feedback from people in different areas or departments.
