How do I configure global and segmented automations?

In Clock Ins/Outs and Notifications automations, two configuration types let you adapt the tool to your company's needs: global and segmented. Here's how to set them up.

 

Global

These automations apply equally to all employees in the company. There's no need to assign anyone, they are applied by default.

  1. Go to Configuration >> Automations and open Clock Ins/Outs or Notifications.
  2. Click on the table row labelled "Default".
  3. Browse through the automations, enabling or disabling whichever ones you'd like.
  4. When you're done, click "Save" before leaving.

 

Segmented

Segments let you apply specific configurations to employees belonging to a particular workplace, department, or group.

  1. Go to Configuration >> Automations and open Clock Ins/Outs or Notifications.
  2. Click "Add".
  3. Give your segment a name, for example, "Clock Ins/Outs – Houston Workplace".
  4. Use the left-hand menu to browse the automation subcategories.
  5. Enable or disable the options you want and click "Save".
  6. To assign these automations, click the avatar icon next to the three-dot button. A window will open where you can select which workplaces, departments, or groups this segment should apply to. Click "Save" to confirm your selection.

Repeat these steps each time you want to add a configuration for a specific workplace, department, or group.
