How are question group and subgroup scores calculated?

Once the overall averages for each question have been calculated, the system groups this data according to the evaluation's structure.

Group and subgroup scores are sums, not averages. The overall averages of their questions are added together without dividing.
💬 Why sum rather than average? Because each question can have a different maximum score. By summing them, we respect the real weight of each question: one worth up to 10 points should carry more weight than one worth up to 2.

Group score

This is the sum of the overall averages of its direct questions plus the scores of its subgroups.

Example — "Teamwork" group (has one direct question and one subgroup):

Group composition Value Maximum possible
Q2 — Teamwork (overall average: 3.56) 3.56 5
"Collaboration" subgroup (score: 3.48) 3.48 5
Group total 7.04 10

The score is always shown against the group's maximum possible (the sum of the maximums of its questions). A group with two questions of max. 5 points has a maximum of 10.

Subgroup score

This is the sum of the overall averages of the questions it contains.

Example — "Collaboration" subgroup (contains only Q3, overall average: 3.48):

Subgroup composition Value Maximum possible
Q3 — Collaboration (overall average: 3.48) 3.48 5

If the subgroup had two questions with averages of 3.48 and 3.57, the score would be 3.48 + 3.57 = 7.05 out of 10.
