What is the rest time between workdays notification, and how does it work?
It is an optional automation within Clock in/out Automations that detects when someone clocks in without having completed the minimum required rest time since their last clock out. You can configure it so that the incident is only logged in the report, or so that a notification is also sent at the moment of clocking in to the people you choose.
Step 1: enable the automation
Go to Configuration >> Clock in/out Automations >> Clock-in incidents and enable "Rest time between workdays".
Step 2: define the threshold
Enter the minimum number of rest hours between working days. You can set a value between 1 and 48 whole hours.
Step 3: choose the mode
Enable the option to view this information in reports. If you also want to send notifications, select your preferred alert options for the employee or the role of your choice.
Step 4: configure the recipients
Select which role (Admin, HR, or Owner) or specific person will receive the notification, and define whether you also want to alert the affected employee.
You can create multiple policies for different groups or workplaces, each with its own threshold and recipient.
Step 5: choose the channels
The recipient or administrator will always receive a platform notification and, optionally, an email.
If you enable notifications for the employee, they can receive them on the platform, via a push notification on their mobile, and/or by email.
