What are 'Contact points' and what are they used for?
Contact points are the people in your company whom Sesame reaches out to depending on the topic: billing, communications, technical matters, or onboarding.
They are managed in Configuration >> Company >> Contact points and are independent for each company.
There are five types:
- Main contact: the company’s reference point of contact. There can only be one.
- Billing: manages payments and invoices.
- Communications: receives product updates and important notices about the account.
- Technical administration: responsible for technical configuration, integrations, and access.
-
Onboarding: coordinates the rollout of Sesame within the company.
Important: this section was previously located in Billing >> Billing details. It no longer appears there. Contacts listed under "Decision makers" have been automatically converted to Communications, with the same people.
How does it work?
Step 1: access the section
Go to Configuration >> Company >> Contact points. If you manage several companies, check that the correct one is selected in the header.
Step 2: add a contact
In the type you want, click the "+" button, choose the employee from the dropdown, and click Save. You can add several people under Billing, Communications, Technical administration, and Onboarding. The same employee can appear in several types, but cannot be added twice within the same type.
Step 3: edit or delete a contact
- To change the main contact, click the pencil icon and select another person. They will replace the previous one.
- To remove a contact from any other type, use the delete option next to their name. They will only be removed from that type.
