How can I turn a public channel into a private one (or vice versa)?
Do you want to keep some conversations in strict confidentiality? Create private channels for your most important conversations and decide who can access them. Follow these steps:
- When creating a channel, activate the "Private channel" option, and you’re done! Only the people you invite to join will be able to see the contents in the channel.
- To change the privacy configuration of an existing channel, find the "Configuration" option and select the option you prefer.
Can you change the privacy configuration whenever you want? Of course you can! You can turn a public channel into a private one, and vice versa, as many times as you want. Simply follow this route: Channel >> Three-dot button >> Configuration.
Keep in mind that, for now, only users with a higher role or role of communicator can change the privacy configuration of the channels that exist in Community.
