How do I enable posting control in a channel?

With the Posting control option, you can turn any channel into a broadcast space; that is, only the members you choose will be able to create posts, while the rest of the team can continue reading, reacting, and commenting as normal.

Follow these steps to configure the option:

  1. Find the channel you want to apply the restriction to and open its contextual menu (the three dots next to the channel name).
  2. Select "Configuration".
  3. In the "Configure channel" prompt, enable the "Posting control" toggle.
  4. In the "Publishing permissions" field that appears when you enable it, search for and select the members who will have permission to post. Only people who are already members of the channel will appear.
  5. Click "Save". The changes are applied immediately.

⚠️ Posting control configuration is only available from the web panel.

💡 Higher-level roles and profiles with the "Community configuration" permission can always post in the channels they are members of, even if they don't appear in the publishers list.

Publication control in the General channel

You can apply Publication control to the General channel by following the same steps as for any other channel. Please note that in this case, the other options in the "Configure channel" prompt (name, privacy, and other settings) remain disabled.
