How do I post a vacancy on external job boards?

When you create a vacancy in Sesame, you're not limited to your own careers portal. You can multiply its reach by sending it to more than 30 external job boards from a single panel; from the most well-known, such as Indeed, LinkedIn, or Google for Jobs, to vertical channels such as Welcome to the Jungle, Hosco, or Talent.com.

To distribute a vacancy on external job boards, it must be active on your Sesame careers portal. If it isn't, when you send it to an external job board, Sesame will publish it on your portal automatically.

Step-by-step for external posting

Open the vacancy and go to the "Publication" tab. You'll see the screen divided into blocks:

1. Direct channels. In the second block on the screen, tick the box for the job board you want (Indeed, LinkedIn) and click "Publish". Please note that these platforms have their own guidelines for accepting job offers (for example, they do not allow emojis in the description). If the system detects any conflict, it will ask you to review and adjust the text before sending it.

2. Multiposting job boards. In the third block, click the "Publish on Multiposting" button. The system will automatically send the vacancy to all the job boards in that catalogue that you have integrated and set to active.

Please note that some external job boards may take up to 24 hours to display your offer, as each platform manages its own indexing times. If your vacancy is still not showing after this period, contact our support team to review it together.

About posting vacancies on Indeed

Indeed has very strict quality standards. Each vacancy is reviewed to ensure it meets their criteria, so your offer may not appear immediately. Thank you for your patience!

  • To post a vacancy on Indeed, it must also have been posted on your Sesame careers portal.
  • Make sure the following fields are completed: job title or position name, address, postcode, city, province or state, country, required education level, and minimum required experience.
  • Vacancies are automatically deactivated on Indeed two months after the posting date, but you can repost them whenever you need to.

About posting vacancies on Multiposting

  • Posting is usually completed in under 24 hours, though we recommend waiting up to 72 hours before contacting support.
  • The first time a company sends a vacancy, platforms such as Indeed, LinkedIn, or Glassdoor carry out a security review that can take between 1 day and 1 week.
  • Companies that are already verified may experience delays if the job offer content breaches a platform's policies (salary below the minimum, duplicates, keyword stuffing, etc.).
  • Once validation has been passed, posting is immediate on most job boards.
  • You can update or unpublish the vacancy from Sesame, and the changes will sync with the external job boards. Please note that changes may take a few hours to be reflected.
