How do I duplicate a vacancy?
If you already have a vacancy created and need to open a similar one, the same role in a different location, a seasonal posting, or a process that recurs several times a year, there's no need to create it from scratch. You can duplicate it and keep only what stays the same.
Steps to follow
- Access the "Duplicate vacancy" action from one of these three places:
- Recruitment >> Job offers >> Vacancies >> table view >> row actions menu.
- Recruitment >> Job offers >> Vacancies >> card view >> card actions menu.
- Within the vacancy's own page >> actions menu.
- Review the suggested name and edit it if needed.
- Decide whether to tick the "Copy vacancy stage automations" box. If enabled, the new vacancy will retain the automatic emails configured for each stage in the original's pipeline.
- Confirm. Sesame will take you directly to the new vacancy's page, in edit mode, so you can review it before publishing.
What is and isn't copied
- Copied: job description, department, contract type, pipeline stages, application form, and recruitment team.
- Not copied: candidates, application history, active publications, metrics, or external integration IDs.
💡The duplicated vacancy is always created as inactive, so you can take as long as you need to review it without any risk of publishing it accidentally.
⚠️ You can only duplicate vacancies you have edit permission for.
