How can I keep an employee’s ID code when changing companies within the same group of companies?
When you deactivate an employee in a company, their access code is released. If you later rehire that same person in another company within the same group, and as long as the setting is enabled, Sesame will recognize that they were previously in the system and will remind you of their former access code.
Steps to recover the previous code
- Code release: when you disable or terminate an employee in their original company, their access code is automatically released so it can be reused.
- Smart identification: when you register that same employee in the new company within the group (matching their personal ID), Sesame will assign a new default code, but it will detect that the employee previously existed within the group of companies.
- Assign the code: in the employee profile >> Accesses >> Tablet access, you will see a warning indicating: "Previous access code: [number]". To maintain consistency, simply copy the existing value and manually replace it with the new one.
For security reasons, the system will never automatically assign the previous code. It will always be shown as a suggestion so you can decide whether you want to use it.
