How does the compatibility score work?
The compatibility score is a percentage-based score that Sesame's AI automatically assigns to each candidate based on how well they match the requirements of the vacancy.
To calculate it, the AI analyses the CV, profile data, and responses to the application questionnaire, and cross-references them against both the job description and any custom criteria you have defined.
How to enable the compatibility score
You can enable this feature when creating the vacancy or at any point afterwards. Simply follow these steps:
- Go to Recruitment >> Job offers >> Vacancies and open the job offer you want.
- Find the option to enable the Compatibility score and click on it.
- In the pop-up window, add any additional criteria if needed (for example: "Has experience with remote teams" or "Has a B2 level of Spanish"). Please note that the AI will automatically recalculate the scores of all candidates enrolled in that vacancy each time you modify or add new requirements and save the changes.
- Click "Save", and the AI will begin calculating the score for all candidates in that vacancy.

Where can I view the compatibility score?
Once enabled, you'll be able to see the match percentage in two places:
- In the vacancy pipeline: each candidate card will show their percentage. You can also sort candidates from highest to lowest score within each column to prioritise the most suitable profiles or quickly identify those to rule out.
- In the candidate's profile: if you open a candidate's profile and go to the "AI analysis" tab, you'll find a detailed breakdown of their experience and skills, an executive summary, and a final recommendation from the AI.
How to interpret the score
- High compatibility (80–100): candidates who are a strong match for the profile you're looking for.
- Medium compatibility (50–79): candidates with potential; their profile is worth reviewing.
- Low compatibility (0–49): these candidates do not meet the defined requirements.
