Instructions for the correct import of employees via bulk load
Here are some recommendations to help ensure you don't encounter any issues when importing your employees' data in bulk to Sesame.

Personal and work information
To create and update employee data correctly via bulk load, make sure that the fields comply with the following requirements:

General information:
- Name: required field.
- Last name(s): required field.
- ID type: select an option from the dropdown menu.
- ID number: enter an ID number. The system will verify both the format and the validity of the number to prevent errors when this information is transferred to other sections, like Payroll or Reports.
- Date of birth: the correct format for birthday is YYYYY-MM-DD. We recommend you include a single quotation mark (') at the beginning of the date to avoid it being formatted, e.g., '2000-01-01.
- Gender: select an option from the dropdown menu. If you enter a value that does not match any of the options, this will cause an error. If the options do not comply with the same format as shown in the dropdown (capital letters, accents, etc.), it will also generate problems in the import.
- Nationality: select an option from the dropdown menu. If you enter a value that does not match any of the options, this will cause an error. If the options do not comply with the same format as shown in the dropdown (capital letters, accents, etc.), it will also generate problems in the import.
- Marital status.
- Number of children: if the employee doesn't have children, this field must remain empty. The value "0" is not allowed.
- Degree of disability: if the employee doesn't have a disability, the field must remain empty. The value "0%" (zero) is not allowed.
- Contact information: address, city, province, postal code, country, company email, personal email, phone, company phone, emergency contact.

Organizational chart:
- Position in the company: select an option from the dropdown menu. If you enter a value that does not match any of the options, this will cause an error. If the options do not comply with the same format as shown in the dropdown (capital letters, accents, etc.), it will also generate problems in the import.
- Line manager.
- Holidays: holiday days.
- Validators: the person included in this field must have a general role previously assigned to them in Sesame. If the validator's profile has not been created yet, create it and assign a role. You can fill in this field later by downloading the "Template with data" and re-uploading it to update the profiles.
- Recruitment: lead recruiter.

Organization:
- Workplaces: workplaces must be created in Sesame beforehand. To assign workplaces, it is necessary to add them without spaces and followed by a ";" (semicolon).
- Departments: departments must be created in Sesame beforehand. To assign departments, it is necessary to add them without spaces and followed by a ";" (semicolon).
- Groups: groups must be created in Sesame beforehand. To assign groups, you must add their Group ID. It will not work if you enter the name of the group or subgroup. To assign multiple groups or subgroups, add them without spaces and separated by a semicolon (;).
- Language.

Tablet information:
- Access code.
- PIN: the PIN must be a combination of 4 numerical digits. Alphanumeric combinations, symbols, or numbers longer than 4 digits are not allowed.
- NFC tag.
- Contract data: level of education.
- Affiliation data: contribution group.
- Extra data: account beneficiary, account type, bank name, unionized employee, does the employee live in a border area?, is the employee expatriate?, Federal Taxpayer Registry, type of worker, benefit plan, type of salary.

Salary data
To create and update employee data correctly via bulk load, make sure that the fields comply with the following requirements:
- Update code: it cannot be modified. If it is modified, this will cause loading problems.
- Name, surname, ID type and ID number: these fields cannot be modified. If they are modified, this will cause loading problems and duplication.
- The salary fields (gross salary, gross salary period, currency and retribution type) are mandatory.
- Start and end dates: the correct format date is YYYYY-MM-DD. We recommend you include a single quotation mark (') at the beginning of the date to avoid it being formatted, e.g., '2000-01-01.
Custom fields
To create and update employee data correctly via bulk load, make sure that the fields comply with the following requirements:
- Update code: it cannot be modified. If it is modified, this will cause loading problems.
- Name, surname, ID type and ID number: these fields cannot be modified. If they are modified, this will cause loading problems and duplication.
- Dropdown custom fields: select an option from the dropdown menu. If the options do not comply with the same format as shown in the dropdown (capital letters, accents, etc.), it will also generate problems in the import.
⚠️ To add a new custom field, you must do so from one of your employees' profiles (Employees >> Profile >> Personal data >> Custom fields) and download the template again.
