Is it mandatory to upload a privacy policy to manage candidate data?

Yes. To manage candidate data, you must upload your privacy policy first.

You can do this in 2 ways:

  • By providing an external URL if you already have the policy published on your website.
  • By uploading a file directly from Sesame.

The policy you configure will be the one all candidates see when applying for your vacancies.
 

What features depend on the privacy policy?

Once you upload your policy, you'll be able to configure 3 automation blocks within Recruitment >> Configuration >> Data management:

  • Data retention period. Define how long you store each candidate's information.
  • Consent expiry notifications. Let the system send the candidate an email before their consent expires so they can renew it if they wish.
  • Automatic deletion. If the candidate does not renew their consent, their profile is automatically deleted after the period you configure.
