How can I create and set up a holiday calendar?
To create and set up a holiday calendar, follow this path: Configuration >> Calendars >> Holidays >> Create.
Keep in mind that each team member can only have one holiday configuration assigned per year. When you assign someone to a new configuration, the previous one will be automatically deactivated. However, it’s possible to have a different configuration for each year.
The holiday calendar setup process is divided into 5 steps. In each one, you can define different elements:
1. General
- Enter the calendar name.
- Choose whether holidays will be generated by days or by hours.

2. Time: configure how available time will be generated
- Define whether the time will be limited or unlimited.
- Choose how holidays will be calculated:
- In working days.
- In calendar days.
- Enter the maximum number of days for the calendar.
- Set up whether extra days will apply based on seniority.
- Choose whether time will renew based on the calendar year or the working year.

3. Advanced: customise additional options
- Define when employees will be able to access next year’s calendar.
- Decide whether time can carry over from one year to the next.
- Enable or disable the option to take partial holidays (e.g. half days).
4. Requests: choose how holidays will be requested
- Do you want to restrict requests? Yes / No
- Will employees be allowed to request more time than they currently have available? Yes / No

5. Summary
Review all configured details in the final summary. If everything looks correct, click "Create" to save the calendar.
