Once I create time off, what can I do with it?
Configuration >> Calendars >> Time off
There are different reasons why some employees may not be available on certain days or at certain times. This time off must be managed by the company to ensure proper day-to-day organization, which is why in Sesame it is fully customizable.
Sesame differentiates between leave from work and absence:
- Leave from work: any situation that prevents the employee from working for a period of time (illness, injury, accident, maternity, paternity, etc.).
- Absence: special occasions the employee can take (marriage, moving house, personal days, among others).
What can you do once time off has been created?
Once created, you can edit, disable, or delete it:
1. Edit: only certain fields can be modified. If you need to change fields that aren’t editable, you’ll have to delete the time off and create a new one with the desired configuration.
- Request for approval.
- Allow attaching supporting documents.
- Block time off requests by ranges.
2. Deactivate: this lets you temporarily deactivate time off, with the option to reactivate it later. In the time off overview, you’ll find a button to view disabled time off and restore it at any time.
3. Delete: you can permanently remove time off.
Steps to assign time off
- Go to the employee’s profile from the side menu.
- Click on the Time off tab.
- Select the Assign time off option.
- Select the day or range of days you want to assign.
- Choose the type of absence or leave from work that applies (moving days, illness of a family member, sick leave, personal leave, etc.).
- Save the changes.
Important!
-
Only users with admin or manager accesses can assign time off directly from an employee’s profile.
- The employee will be able to view the assigned time off in their calendar within the mobile app.
- If you need to modify or delete time off, you can do so from the same Time off section in the employee’s profile.
